    Hema's Birdsville Road Trip was a mixture of both celebration and freedom; celebration for Reg Spriggs' achievement of making the first successful Simpson Desert crossing in 1962, and freedom for the Hema Explorers heading out into the expanses of the Queensland outback for their fix of 4x4 adventure.
