Great Desert Tracks Map Patch
If you purchased a new Hema Navigator HN7 after November 20th 2015, your unit might not display the Hema Great Desert Tracks North West, North Central and North East maps correctly. Affected units will have an orange ‘Preloaded with Hema Explorer 150k Map’ sticker on the top of their original box, and/or their serial number (found above the barcode on the back of the box) will begin with HN7AAU0815.
To remedy the issue, we have created a dedicated installer for affected HN7 users to download the maps (GDT North West, GDT North Central, GDT North East) to their unit directly from their Windows PC*.
- Connect your HN7 to your Windows PC in Mass Storage Mode using your unit’s USB cable, or insert your Micro SD within its SD adapter to your computer’s SD card reader.
- Open the installer.
- Agree to download the maps to your HN7; the installer will find the SD card in your HN7 or Windows PC card reader and download the maps.
- Once the download is complete, a box will appear confirming the installation’s success.
- Disconnect your HN7 and switch your unit back from Mass Storage Mode, or alternatively eject the SD card from your computer and carefully reinsert it into your HN7.
*The Great Desert Tracks Map Patch installer is incompatible with Apple Mac. Mac users can receive the map patch by contacting Hema Maps directly through firstname.lastname@example.org with their name, mailing address and HN7 serial number.
